Deconstruction of contents page

Masthead
It is positioned at the far left top corner. The font is big and bold and the text is white.

Necessary Information
it was issued in October 2008, issue number 267 and the contents page number is 3. They are all positioned at the top of the page spread out across a black banner. The page number is at the bottom right corner. The web link to the magazine website is www.othermusic.com and is placed in the top right corner underneath the black banner.

Text
The text is rather small and black so its looks professional. Most of the text is placed on the left side of the page and there is a large picture placed on the right side of the page. There is a lot of text on the page but it is organised neatly so it looks professional. The use of numerical figures is mainly wrote on the left side of the page with all of the text, but some on the figures are around the page, such as the number 3 in the bottom right corner.

Font
The font is pain and simple. The font styles vary from bold to italic. The colour is black so it stands out against the white background. Italics are used to show that there is something different in the text. The bold text is used to make it stand out for people so it is easier to read.

Images
There is two images on the page one large and one slightly smaller. The Courteeners and Nick Cave. The images are not anchored. The first image is at the top of the page and the smaller one is at the bottom.

Colour
There is 3 different colours of text on the page. The different colours are used to make the text stand out and to help grab the readers attention.
