Preliminary -Magazine Cover

This is my original image which I used to create the magazine cover.  I used this image because they look very serious and real. It was pictured on a white wall so I can easily edit the background. When I used this image I cropped out the white light in the top left corner because it looked odd, and I didn't want it in the magazine cover.  The image on the left is the original and the image on the right is the cropped version I used on the cover.
Once I cropped the photo I added it into Photoshop. I edited the photo and made it more lighter. The bottom of the original image was very dark but on the new image I made it more light. This makes the image look better and more professional. I also added a shadow effect to the image to make Ben and Jay stand out. I then thought of a title and then added it into the photo. I named the title 'TMUSIC' I did this because it sounds new and it expresses that it is a pop music genre. Once I added the title I then added in the date, price and issue number in black writing underneath the green title. I wrote it in back so it would stand out on the white background and so that the green text was easy to see without being distracted by a bright flashy colour.

Once I added the title and sub-headings I added in a barcode which I copied from Google Images. I simply dragged the image from Google and placed it in the bottom right corner of the front cover. I then started adding in the mast headings but i only wrote half in because I hadn't thought of a name for the band on the cover.

I had then thought of a name for the band. I called them 'BENJAY' I did this because their names are Ben and Jay, and also because I couldn't think of another name for the band. I think that it looks catch and sounds realistic. Once I thought of the name I added in the words. I also added another mast head saying "Were better than Coldplay".

Then once I added everything I double checked everything and made it look right. I positioned everything in the right place and sure it looks realistic. This is my final screenshot of my magazine cover.
